Wait... this started as a £1.50 IKEA coaster?! Have you seen these iconic IKEA cork coasters for just £1.50? And if you've got a Cricut machine, you need them in your stash. And I've got a completely new IKEA hack. Design space, I set a guide to the size of the coasters. Found this really pretty floral image, changed the colours and I was ready to go. Now this one does feel like a science experiment because you'll need plaster of Paris and some water. Mix them together and then you want to pour the plaster in the centre of the coasters. Trust the process. Pop them aside to set. Next up is time to grab some Cricut printable vinyl, which you do actually get in that pack. Print and cut image, set with the Joy 2. Print the cut images, ready I can pop them onto a cutting mat and mode into my Cricut Joy 2 for it to cut around the designs. And once you know the plaster is set, simply peel off your vinyl stickers and place them in the centre. I actually think this is a super quick and very, very effective IKEA hack. I grabbed some glue to set them in place and with a couple of hours, it's a different way that you can use these fantastic bargain finds from IKEA to create some beautiful home decor that would also make a lovely, lovely gift. Let me know what you think.
