I almost died with a mask on. On August 17 last year, I was on bedrest after a drunk driver hit me when God clearly spoke to me: launch Season One of a podcast. I had 20 minutes of screen time a day. I was relearning basic tasks. I had no idea how I was going to move forward. And God was asking me to show up. The thing about doing something you feel completely unqualified for is that you have to take off the masks. The mask that says you have it all together. The mask that says you have to be impressive. The mask that says you have to be perfect before God can use you. Because obedience was never about performing perfectly. It was about surrender. As I prayed into Season Two, I kept coming back to the way God moved throughout Scripture. Again and again, He asked people to get honest about their need. Before healing, there was a cry for help. Before freedom, there was an admission of bondage. Before the miracle, there was vulnerability. So let me ask you: What is your need? Not the polished answer. Not the spiritual-sounding answer. The real one. What are you carrying behind the mask? This season, I’m getting vulnerable with you in a way I never have before. I’m bringing you the hardest questions of my faith, the deepest places of my story, and the things I’ve had to surrender. Because something supernatural happens when we lay down every identity except the cross. We stop performing. We stop trying to make people love us. We stop building a version of ourselves that looks worthy. And we become a demonstration of His heart to a watching world. To live for Christ means to die to performance. The episode that was deleted from Season One was my story. We searched everywhere for it, but couldn’t find it. So we filmed it again. I have never shared my story online like this before. But it’s yours August 17. Before you listen, know this: You have been prayed for. Season Two of Breaking Bread Podcast begins August 17 on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and YouTube. And when you listen, don’t keep it to yourself. Send it to the person who’s tired of performing. The person who needs permission to take off their mask. The person who needs to know they don’t have to be enough because Christ already is. Maybe this podcast isn’t just about what God wants to say to you. Join me August 17th. #trending #podcast #christian #thebreakingbreadpodcast
