Hibiclens

HIBICLENS begins killing germs on contact and can continue working for up to 24 hours. Use HIBICLENS daily or as part of a pre/post-operative skin washing plan.

Why it worked

The video leverages a common skin concern (acne, folliculitis) and presents a readily available, yet perhaps underutilized, solution (Hibiclens) in a relatable, "aha!" moment format. The creator's professional background as a dermatologist adds significant credibility.

Summary

A dermatologist explains that Hibiclens, an antimicrobial soap used in hospitals, can treat back acne, folliculitis, ingrown hairs, and minor skin infections. She cautions that it can damage eyes and ears.

Product placement

Hibiclens (ACTS - it is a skin cleanser that treats acne, folliculitis, ingrown hairs, and minor skin infections; removing it would change what happens in the video)

Original caption

Chlorhexidine (aka Hibiclens) is an antimicrobial soap that’s so strong it’s what we use in the hospital to disinfect. While most people just need regular soap, you may consider hibiclens if you get many skin infections and body breakouts. It can damage eyes and ears so don’t use around those areas. #acne #dermatologist #fyp
