I bet you didn't know you shouldn't mix vinegar and bicarbonate of soda in your laundry! So, the trick is to mix them separately. Vinegar is acidic and bicarbonate of soda is alkaline, so when you mix them, they react and largely neutralize each other. Instead, use them separately depending on what you're trying to achieve. So bicarbonate of soda softens your water which allows your detergent to work better. So bicarbonate of soda goes into the drum. So it depends on the load that you have. If you have a 10kg laundry, you can use like half a cup. Then for the vinegar, you put it into the fabric softener slot. Vinegar helps with odor and stain removal, along with fabric softening, because it's used during the rinse cycle. So both of them are great products for your laundry. And the bicarbonate of soda in a brighter white and the vinegar in those fall odors. So I'm going to put my clothes in and then I'm going to put the bicarbonate of soda in the drum and then the vinegar in the fabric softener slot.
