I'm serving these fruit flies away and a victi- I'm serving these fruit flies away and a victim. And here are the things that I'm doing to make sure they don't come back. Firstly, start off strong with the food waste bin. Now this does get emptied regular. But this is another step that I'm doing. As well as cleaning it in between each use. I'm going to be adding a few drops of peppermint essential oil on some kitchen roll and popping that inside the bin when I replace the bag. Fruit flies and any type of flies like that actually don't like peppermint oil. Next up, I've made a homemade little fly catcher. I definitely think this is an absolute game changer because it's caught so many flies already. What you need is lemon juice, apple cider vinegar and some dish soap. I put it near a window.
