One of the first things I went looking for when I made the switch over to Samsung was that I don't get spotlight anymore on my iPhone, I can just swipe down and I get spotlight search which lets me find anything. Whereas on Android, or at least a Samsung, by default, swiping down just gives you the app drawer. But we can fix that. On the Samsung App Store, not the Play Store, you wanna search for Good Lock and install that. Then when you're in Good Lock, you also wanna install HomeUp. Then click on Home screen, find access, tick Home screen, and Apps screen as well if you want. Now when I swipe down, it launches Finder, the equivalent of search. And I can search for anything on my phone. So say I type in brightness, it comes up with settings and I can go straight into brightness.
