The real reason we stopped collecting Pokemon cards is because someone jammed them from us. This was a cannon event too. Like you would always have a huge stack of Pokemon cards. Maybe books of Pokemon cards and someone and it was always in elementary school. Someone just had to steal them from you, bro. Like you would have the most rare cards ever. I'm talking EXs that nobody ever had ever. The moment you bring them to school, bro, someone goes into your locker or your book bag when you're not looking and just thieves them. Even if your cards were real or fake, it was still hard, bro. Everyone wanted them. And then you leave them unattended for a second and they're gone. That's why I never collect Pokemon cards again. I still have PTSD from fourth grade.
