🥷 The woman in this picture wasn’t wealthy. Truth is, I was lucky if I had a dime in my pocket. But would you have known it by looking at me? Probably not. People often assumed I had money because I always looked put together. My clothes weren't expensive, but they were clean, they fit well, and I took pride in my appearance. What | learned is this: looking polished has very little to do with money and everything to do with mindset. I refused to let my circumstances become my identity. Looking my best wasn't about convincing others I was wealthy—it was about reminding myself that my situation was temporary. The way you carry yourself shapes the way you see yourself.
