Why it worked

The video likely resonated due to its relatable commentary on a common fear scenario (being confronted by strangers) and the creator's humorous, albeit critical, take on the characters' reactions, tapping into the "survival instincts" meme format.

Summary

The video shows a clip from "The Strangers: Chapter 3" where a truck stops abruptly in front of the viewer's car, and three masked individuals emerge. The creator then comments on the poor survival instincts displayed by the people in the car, suggesting they should have immediately backed away instead of panicking.

Structure

1Clip of a truck stopping and people emerging
2Creator comments on the lack of survival instincts
3Explains why backing up is the correct reaction
4Criticizes the inaction of the people in the car

Transcript

Back up. Back up, Blair! I'm trying to fucking truck up! Back the fuck up! Oh my god! Back it up! Back it up! Back it up! Take it off the road! Back it up! Back it up! No type of survival instincts That woman ain't got no type of survival instincts. Her survival instincts are in the negatives. A truck stops right in front of y'all. You see three people hop out in mask. One of them grabs looks like a sharp weapon from the trunk. And instead of listening to your man's when he tells you to back the truck up, and he said it really loud too. Your first instinct is to scream. Like I understand screaming and panicking is like normal and natural because you see something scary, you don't know how to react. But that ain't gonna solve anything. Put that shit in reverse and start backing up. You should have immediately backed up as soon as they stopped right in front of y'all. Cause why is a truck out of nowhere during the nighttime just stop and right in front of y'all. And even after watching this whole video, I don't even think she backed up. Why can't y'all hang around people that ain't got no type of survival awareness? This girl literally got survival instincts of a rock.
