Being an iPhone user is tough Because tell me why I have to have data to access photos in my own gallery. I apologize for me being silly but the iPhone deletes your photos. That's why you need to access them and access them from the server. Well, kind of. iPhone cloud photos doesn't keep the actual photos on your phone to save storage. It keeps a little blurry preview version on your phone. The full quality photos is sitting somewhere there in Apple's service somewhere. So when you tap your photo and then you say it takes data to open. No, it's Apple going up there to the service and taking your photos to show you the full quality photo. Over data and Wi-Fi. If you don't have connection, they can't go and actually get the photos from the service. Which is why you're complaining right now. And it's understandable. So basically what your phone is doing is it's trading the convenience of having more storage on your phone for the dependency of having Wi-Fi all the time to go fetch your photos. But the most important part is how you fix it. Number one, if you don't want to use iCloud photos, turn it off. Just go to settings, turn off iCloud photos. Number two, which is the more reasonable one. You go to settings, you go to photos and then you go right here, download and keep originals. But if you don't want none of this stuff, just turn off iCloud photos. But it won't back up your photos though. Just turn on download and keep originals. Now you have your full quality photos on your phone at all times. It works offline, you don't need data to it, no no data is needed. Storage will go up and will finish faster. But you don't need data to access your photos. So It's a tradeoff. You trade off the convenience of having more storage on your phone for the dependency of having Wi-Fi all the time to go fetch your photos.
