Confidence shows up before you even realise you’re communicating it. Rounded shoulders, restless movements, making yourself smaller and constantly breaking eye contact can make you appear uncertain, while open posture, grounded stillness, steady eye contact and deliberate movement tend to communicate greater self-assurance. Your voice matters just as much. You can say exactly the same words, but when you slow down, speak clearly, use pauses and finish your sentences decisively, people experience you differently. Confidence is often communicated through the signals surrounding your words, steady body, steady voice, stronger presence.
