Why it worked
The video leverages a relatable 'try-on' format combined with a clear, low-friction shopping intent, making it easy for viewers to engage and find the products.
Summary
A creator tries on six different dresses she purchased from Amazon for her upcoming baby sprinkle. She models each dress and asks her audience to help her choose which one to wear.
Structure
- 1Introduction of the Amazon dress haul
- 2Trying on six different dresses
- 3Discarding one dress for poor fit
- 4Asking audience for feedback
Product placement
Amazon: (a) ACTS — the creator operates the interface by ordering dresses from it and directs viewers to her storefront on the platform to purchase them. Removing this would change the video's purpose as it is the source of the products and the destination for the CTA.
