ad OMG i know... painting a ceiling black sounds like a terrible idea… but I think this room might have just proved otherwise. 🖤 I wanted this space to feel dramatic, warm and a little unexpected, almost like stepping into a gallery filled with collected objects and artefacts. After adding all that sandy texture to the walls, I wanted to carry that feeling through the rest of the room, so I brought in some beautiful pieces from @Castlery UK textured rug is giving me warm, summery cornfield vibes 🌾 while the Fable ivory sofa is the perfect contrast against all that black. And before anyone asks how I’m brave enough to own an ivory sofa… performance fabric. Essential when you’re a mucky pup like me 😂 Then there’s the swivel chair, because obviously no room is complete without a proper supervillain chair, and the Arcadia sideboard, which I fell in love with for those gorgeous glass arches in the doors. It feels like it was made for displaying all the weird and wonderful pieces I keep collecting. Including my latest Rome inspired DIY… because apparently when you can’t bring an ancient artefact home in your suitcase, you make your own out of concrete and guttering instead. 😂 There are definitely more old pieces, sculptures and curiosities to come, but I LOVE how this room makes me feel when I walk into it. The black ceiling might be my favourite part… but would you have been brave enough to go this dark, or would you have kept the paintwork lighter? 👀 Let me know what you think to this one! Love, Jack x
