Why it worked

The creator taps into a common sentiment among gamers about the iterative nature of annual game releases, particularly within established franchises like Call of Duty. By framing this as a relatable question and using analogies to other sports games, they create content that resonates with a broad audience who may share similar opinions.

Summary

The creator discusses the perceived lack of significant changes in the Call of Duty franchise year over year, comparing it to other sports games. They argue that despite minor updates to maps and guns, the core gameplay remains largely the same, leading to a predictable experience for players.

Product placement

Call of Duty: it ACTS - it is a video game that is played, and its features (maps, guns, movement, feel) are discussed. Removing it would change what happens in the video. MW1: it APPEARS - it is a logo on the gun, and it is not essential to the video's narrative. Removing it would not change what happens in the video.

LOL what's different? what's different in Call of Duty this year? Like the overall movement of the game, but nothing else. Call of Duty is Call of Duty, bro. That's like asking what's different with the new NHL game, bro? what's new? with CSGO? what's new with the new fucking MLB game, bro? It's literally Call of Duty..chat. You know with COD, you always know with Call of Duty. They change it up a little bit. They change up the maps, they change up the guns, they change up the movement to that. You know, what you, what you get is an arcade shooter game. That's all. That's all you've ever gotten, and everybody, every year yet everyone still seems to make that, you know, that kind of of question.
