this is exactly how much we spent on everything for our wedding in Sydney (August 2026). we had our micro wedding at No 92 GPR in Glebe as they could do both ceremony & reception in one space! my partner and I are both quite frugal people and both were hesitant on spending a large amount of money just for 1 day - here is how we tried to keep costs low but still made sure our guests had a good time and were well fed (this was our biggest non negotiable). there were a few things we were willing to compromise on / DIY ourselves to save a few thousand dollars and spend it on food and drinks instead. supposedly the average wedding in Sydney now costs over $40k…which is kinda ridiculous 😭😭 anyway I hope this budget breakdown is helpful! #s#savingmoneytipsweddingbudget #w#weddingplanningmicrowedding #weddingplanning
