Laptop breaking

I was teaching them something far more valuable. In our school, every child uses technology. But the same device that can make you successful can also destroy you. Not because thirty thousand rupees has no value, but a child's future worth far more. I wanted every child to remember one thing: If something is damaging your character or your purpose, have the courage to walk away from it. Same like we break friendship with bad company, we need the courage to break the devices that are not helping us. Of course, surgery is never the first solution. But sometime, a serious problem requires a strong message. So here is the question: Was breaking the laptop the right decision? Please comment.
