You can never go wrong with a delicious tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich 🍅🍂🍁 Creamy Tomato Soup 🍅 2 tbsp olive oil 4 garlic cloves, minced 1 large yellow onion, sliced 2 (28 oz) cans San Marzano tomatoes, with juice 1 cup chicken or veggie broth 1 tbsp sugar ¼ cup heavy cream 8 fresh basil leaves, chopped ¼ tsp oregano ½ tsp red pepper flakes Salt + pepper to taste ⅓ cup Parmesan, optional Croutons, optional Sauté garlic + onion in olive oil until soft. Add tomatoes, broth + sugar and simmer 12 minutes. Stir in cream, basil, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt + pepper. Blend until smooth with a blender.
