Hi everyone, I am Teacher Marlyn, a former senior lecturer at ISA CAREVIEW Center for Teachers who chose a stay at home mom. So yeah, I'm so bored. So for today, I'll be sharing with you guys different study techniques that you can actually use while preparing for an examination. So the very first one that I will be sharing is the Pomodoro Technique. Again, it's the Pomodoro Technique. So the Pomodoro that is actually an Italian word for tomato. So, Pomodoro Technique, it will help you to stay focused at the same time, avoid burnout while studying. Why? Because Pomodoro Technique, um, you have a specific study time, example for 25 minutes. And then after that, mag-break naman ng five minutes. So that's the Pomodoro Technique. Mag-study ka for 25 minutes, then break ng five minutes. Another 25 minutes na study, break naman five minutes. Another 25 minutes and then break five minutes. Another 25 minutes and then break five minutes until such time na ma-achieve mo lang yung oras yung goal mo for study. So the good thing about this technique is that you will not be thinking, the study for five hours. So instead of you be studying for five hours, what will be in your mind is that you will only be studying for 25 minutes. So, diba must okay siya. It's because you will not feel the, you know, the pain and the pressure of studying only for 25 minutes. So, e-break mo lang siya. Parang chunking. So that's the Pomodoro Technique. What Pomodoro it does, it does not refer to the study method itself, but it actually refers to the tomato shaped timer na ginamit ni Cirillo while nag-study siya. So that's the reason why tinawag siyang Pomodoro Technique. The second one na pwede niyong magamit while you're studying is the Active Recall. So from the term itself, active. Hindi ka lang nagbabasa ng libro, but um, ikaw mismo ay nag-gain ng information diyan sa head mo. So, example, pag active recall, try reading your notes and then after reading your notes, um, close it. Wag kang titingin and then ask your question about what you read. If ever masagutan mo siya or masagutan mo siya with your own words, that means you understood kung ano yung binabasa mo. That's the active recall. Hindi mo kailangang basahin yun sa page to page na walang stop. Need kang mag-stop and ask yourself, ano yung naintindihan ko? Kaya ko bang i-explain sa sarili ko using my own words. That's the active recall. So yeah, that's only two for now guys. And yeah, see you soon.
