Save this for your next bathroom renovation... When we’re designing bathrooms, there are certain measurements we come back to time and time again. Of course, every room and client is different, but these are some really useful starting points: • Floor to flush plate: 82cm • Finished floor to vanity top: 85cm • Toilet to nearest surface: 45cm • Floor to centre of vanity mirror: 150-160cm • Half-height tiling: approx. 110cm • Vanity depth: typically 50-60cm • Space in front of a vanity: ideally 80cm+ • Space in front of a toilet: at least 60cm • Shower controls: 100-120cm from finished floor level • Bath height: typically around 55-60cm • Vanity wall lights: position around eye level and, where possible, either side of the mirror for more flattering, even illumination, typically around 150-160cm from the floor.
