Wallace was declared the Center of the Universe in 2004 because the mayor wanted to show the EPA their logic is flawed in a local dispute. It could not be disproved that Wallace isn’t the center of the universe, which meant it must be, using the logic of, “if you cannot disprove something, it must be true.” The exact center is marked by a manhole cover in town.
