He’s the only person who knew junpei died and cared about him (others in jujutsu tech knew but they didn’t care about junpei). it’s canon none of his extended family found out and he didn’t even have a funeral so they could cover up his death easier. While i hc junpei will always be in yuji’s memory yuji knew him for such a short time he probably forgot a lot about junpei quickly. It’s impossible not too he knew him for a day. Everything close to junpei was gone and now he only lives in blurry memories of people who never were able to really know him.
