US Halts Immigrant Visas from ALL countries

The US just announced they are pausing all immigrant visa applications until further notice. This breaking news is coming just days after the court overruled a 75 country immigrant visa pause. There are two types of US visas, immigrant visa and non immigrant visa. Non immigrant visa like tourist, business and student will continue to process as normal, but the State Department will no longer conduct interviews for spouses, adopted children and employment based green card applications from all countries. This effectively completely shuts down global legal immigration to the US, even though people have paid all their fees and gone through the legal process set up by Congress. There are people like me who have been waiting two and a half years for an interview at the embassy to bring my spouse to the United States. Now nobody anywhere in the world can interview and move their applications forward. Anyone with interviews already scheduled have been getting notices that their appointments have been cancelled. This has been framed as a "training pause", but the last time this happened, it took nine months of waiting before a court overruled the temporary pause. So it's possible we are set up for a very long wait. This is still a breaking story and I will update more when we hear more about it.
