Technology changes quickly, which makes deciding what to learn surprisingly difficult. Programming is still valuable, but knowing a programming language by itself isn’t enough. Understanding Linux, Git, networking, databases, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure and system administration can make you much more capable of building and maintaining real systems. Hardware skills are also becoming increasingly useful. Embedded programming, electronics, microcontrollers, computer architecture and basic PCB design can give you an understanding of technology that goes beyond software. The most valuable skills are often the ones that connect different areas together. Someone who can write code AND understand networking can build more than someone who only knows syntax. Someone who understands software AND hardware can work on systems that cross both worlds. Instead of trying to learn every new technology that becomes popular, focus on fundamentals that continue to be useful as the technology changes. #technology #programming #viral #computers #fyp
