Why it worked
The video uses relatable workplace humor, specifically the common experience of being CC'd unnecessarily on emails, to create a comedic scenario that resonates with a broad audience, particularly those in professional or educational environments.
Summary
A teacher humorously reacts to an email where their boss and many other school administrators were CC'd on a minor issue regarding a student's grade. The teacher sarcastically provides all the documentation to address the situation, highlighting the over-involvement of various staff members.
Structure
- 1Opening text sets the scene: boss CC'd on first email
- 2Teacher addresses Karen, listing all the administrators CC'd
- 3Teacher sarcastically states the 'directness' of the CC list
- 4Teacher explains the student's grade issue and attached evidence
- 5Teacher concludes with a sarcastic remark about the superintendent's non-involvement

Transcript
Hi Karen, thanks for including my principal, assistant principal, guidance counselor, curriculum coordinator, instructional coach and district academic specialist in this email. Nothing says let's handle this directly like a CC list that requires scrolling. I appreciate the opportunity to resolve this privately with the eight of us. For everyone just joining the investigation, Karen's concern is that Braden received an 8 out of 10 on Tuesday's assignment. He lost two points because he left two questions blank. I have attached the grade book entry and a photograph of the two blank questions for anybody who would like to independently verify that the blank spaces are in fact blank. I'm glad we were able to assemble this multidisciplinary response team before anybody asked me what happened. If additional support is needed, let me know. The superintendent remains tragically uninvolved.
