Pork and Shrimp Dumplings recipe ⬇️ 2 lbs ground pork 2 lbs shrimp, peeled and deveined 1/4 of a cabbage, finely chopped 1 tsp kosher salt 1 bunch scallions, finely chopped 1 cup garlic chives (or substitute with additional scallions) 1 tbsp minced ginger 1 tbsp minced garlic 1/4 cup soy sauce 1 tbsp tamari (or substitute with soy sauce) 3 tbsp oyster sauce 3 tbsp sesame oil 2 tbsp mirin 2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp white pepper 3 packs regular-sized dumpling wrappers (found in the frozen aisle) 1 egg, beaten with a splash of water 1. Toss the chopped cabbage with kosher salt and let sit for 15 minutes. Squeeze out as much excess water as possible. 2. Finely chop the peeled and deveined shrimp 3. Add the pork, shrimp, cabbage, and remaining filling ingredients to a large mixing bowl. 4. Mix until everything is well combined and the filling becomes slightly sticky. 5. Cook a small spoonful of the filling and taste. Adjust the seasoning as needed. 6. Fill and fold the dumplings, using the beaten egg mixture to help seal the wrappers. 7. To freeze: Arrange the wrapped dumplings in a single layer without touching and freeze until firm. Once frozen, transfer to freezer bags for storage. 8. To steam fresh dumplings: Line the steamer basket with parchment paper or a steamer liner and arrange the dumplings inside. Bring the water to a boil, then place the steamer basket over the water, cover, and steam for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through. 9. To steam frozen dumplings: Steam directly from frozen for 12-15 minutes, or until cooked through. #koreanfood #dumpling #dumplings
