Well, there was a massive ice rock glacier that collapsed into the Himalayas and it sent water, mud, boulders down the river that was nearby. Now, at the side of this river it was housing, it was buildings also the immigration department between Nepal and also Tibet. Yeah now at the time of this broadcast Here's what we know so far. At least 392 fatalities unfortunately. There are more than 1500 people missing. Lots of Malaysians involved as well. More than 50 is the number for now. Infrastructure that has been ruined. The speed of the water that had come down from the dam that broke. was set to be reported at 193km/h. Can I just put that into perspective? When you drive your car on the highway. The maximum speed here in Malaysia is 110km/h. Yeah. You put 70 more into that. Yeah sometimes we go over the speed limit and you go like "oh this is really fast!" Oh man, 193km/h is insane. It is very hard to brain because watching the videos of the CCTV footage. I know there's one that's going around. it's everywhere. One second, everything is there Prem. And the next second it's gone. Just gone, like a snap of a finger and it's gone. So there are a lot of speculations on why this has happened, right. Yeah. According to scientists, it was actually not an earthquake that caused it. Yeah, that was the initial thing was going on. But no, it was that glacier that melted off. Correct because there was a shake. But this glacier that was melted into the water. So huge. Caused that shake right? Yes and then that's why the dam broke. Yes. Because the amount of water that come down and the boulders. So imagine like everything kind of stuck against the dam. and then the pressure just let it go right I don't even know how to feel about this. Going on Instagram. I know people personally who have family members that were there for pilgrimage. Yeah. And now they're just not contactable at all right. That's the biggest fear, right? There's no closure. Yeah. Yeah, I know the Malaysian government is already working very closely with the Nepalese government and the Tibetan government. Hopefully we get some closure soon.
