I want to make one thing completely clear: I do not support ICE or any policy that separates people from their homes and families. While completing our Uber delivery, Ivan took a wrong turn near the airport entrance to I-595 and was detained by immigration authorities in the Hollywood–Fort Lauderdale area. This happened before we filed our police report. Our report did not cause his detention, and I did not get Ivan detained or deported. Please do not place responsibility on me for something that had already happened and was entirely outside of my control. My heart remains with Ivan and his family. If this situation has moved or angered you, please turn those feelings into meaningful action: speak out, support affected families, and vote.
