Natures skincare in a bowl 😍 #chinesemedicine #skincareroutine This is Tremella Fuciformis, aka Snow Fungus Mushroom, and I made it into a warm breakfast soup! Tremella has been used in traditional Chinese cuisine for centuries and is naturally rich in polysaccharides, complex carbohydrates studied for their antioxidant, gut, immune & skin-supporting properties. ✨ 🍄 SNOW FUNGUS BREAKFAST SOUP • 1 dried Snow Fungus • 3–4 Medjool dates • 3–5 slices fresh ginger • 2–3 dried hibiscus petals • 3–4 cups water How I made it: Soak the snow fungus in warm water until fully expanded, about 10–20 min. Rinse, remove the firm yellow base & tear into smaller pieces. Add to a pot with water + ginger, bring to a boil, then simmer for 20–25 min. Add chopped dates for the last 10 min and hibiscus for the last 5. That’s it! 🥣 The dates naturally sweeten the broth, while the ginger & hibiscus give it a slightly tart, warming flavor. ✨ Hydrating ✨ Fiber-containing ✨ Antioxidant-rich ingredients ✨ Gut + digestive support ✨ Skin-supportive compounds And despite the nickname “beauty mushroom,” Tremella does NOT contain collagen. Its polysaccharides are what make it so interesting in skin & hydration research. 🍄💧 Food is so much bigger than calories. 🌱 Would you try Snow Fungus Soup for breakfast?! 👀
