WHY ARE THEY USING RADIATION ON GARLIC POWDER?! ☢️😳Most people have no idea this is even a thing. Spices and seasonings can be treated with ionizing radiation to reduce bacteria and other microorganisms. That doesn’t make the food radioactive — but it definitely made me start looking at garlic powder differently. Some brands specifically advertise non-irradiated spices, while others may use irradiation as part of processing.
