#ad | Viva Paper Towel Challenge A paper towel dress?! 😱 One of my vision board goals for this year was to step back from the seriousness of practical fashion design and find some time to create just for the sake of creating. To let imagination and creativity lead the way and forget about all the technicalities like how it would need to be priced, or washed, or if a factory has the ability replicate a specific construction technique. Ask and you shall receive! When @Viva® Towels challenged me to make a garment out of their cloth like paper towels I immediately knew this was exactly the type of project I had been waiting for. I started experimenting with different mediums and techniques and the ideas started flowing. #ad VIVA Paper towels 2026 VISION BOARD Posts Feb 2 petoannkrystall Detroit, Michigan Living into our first... really easy to feel out... more 6 2026 GOALS & DREAMS OF 26 this was such random addition this year Bubble Wrap Dress 2011 I WANT TO MAKE SOMETHING JUST TO MAKE SOMETHING WORKING CORPORATE FOR SO MANY YEARS EVERY PROJECT IS DRIVEN BY COST, PRODUCTION LOGISTICS & END CUSTOMERS I WANT TO EXPERIMENT WITH UNCONVENTIONAL MATERIALS AND TAP INTO CREATIVE EXPLORATION OUTSIDE OF A PROFIT DRIVEN PERSPECTIVE. TESTING which this is how I ended up with this lace effect and you can probably guess how much I wish I had a laser cutter at this point I was genuinely surprised how much like material it behaved it's soft and flexible yet durable I pretty quickly realized that it could handle any vision I could create but for a good design you need some sort of guiding light a North Star if you will and I found that inspiration in the garden come with me into my mind it's dawn the world is waking up the air is brisk the flower petals are adorned with dew drops and we're back now in high school I have made unconventional projects before out of bubble wrap and music sheets but I have over a decade of professional design experience now and this was the first time I got to apply all of those new skills and really let my creativity and imagination run wild so thank you Viva for giving me an excuse to do this and if you wanna continue to have your mind blown @vivatowels head over to their page to see all of the other contestants entries
