Clients really think they can come into the bank and tell us, “I have no idea how this transaction happened. I think someone hacked me,” while we’re sitting there looking at the transaction history like it’s the security footage of the financial crime scene. Sir, we can see how the transaction was initiated, where it came from, what authentication was used, when it happened, and sometimes exactly which digital breadcrumbs you left behind.
