Wise words from Dolly! My number 1 rule for going to estate sales.. Don’t tell random people in line what you came for. If it's someone you know and trust, sure go ahead. However, I've seen multiple times where someone in line tells another person what they came for and either the person they've told or someone eavesdropping has gone out of their way to snag the item mentioned. Recently, I was in line with a guy who told me he came for 3 specific items. The women behind me shared with him two items they drove hours and waited 6 hours in line to grab.
