Nobody really prepares you for how many little things change once you become a mom. You can love your baby more than anything and still miss parts of your old routine. You can feel grateful and exhausted at the same time. You can be surrounded by people and still feel like nobody fully understands what your day looks like. And some days the smallest win—taking a shower, eating a hot meal, getting the baby to nap—can feel huge. One thing I wish more moms heard early on is this: you do not have to have every part of motherhood figured out right away. Ask for help when you need it, protect your rest when you can, and give yourself room to learn as you go. Every mom's experience looks different and that does not make yours wrong. Moms, what is one piece of advice you wish someone had given you before becoming a parent? Save this for another mom and follow for more pregnancy, postpartum, newborn, and motherhood tips!
