Modified UNO for toddlers — teaching turn-taking + colors

We played a modified version of UNO to work on turn-taking, fine motor skills (actually picking up the cards), and color recognition — all in one simple game! Here’s how we did it: we sat in a circle, and each person drew a card, then matched the color to one of four papers laid out on the floor. We went through the entire deck, and my toddler asked to play again right after. Safe to say this was a hit — such a simple, easy way to teach real game skills without a single worksheet.
