GIVE BETTER GIFTS !!!!

Gifts for your mom and your mother-in-law. This came highly requested. Feel like there's so much pressure on your mom or your mother-in-law's gift and what I think it boils down to is you just really want to make them feel appreciated for all that they do for you. In a rapid fire through this list, I did ask both my mom and my mother-in-law for ideas so they have weighed in heavily on this. There were two overall themes. One, nice things that help them with self-care and spend time on themselves because they simply take care of everyone else all the time. Two, something very thoughtful. Hugs blanket from Minky or just the regular blanket from Lola. Some sort of cozy blanket. Not something they would probably buy for themselves. Large size LL Bean tote bag with their name or like, grandma name if they are a grandma. It's like a classic mom bag that is personalized to them. And I think this is especially great for the grandmas out there because they always have to carry around extra stuff for the grandkids. My mom is in a slower season of life right now and she's getting into arts and crafts, which I think is just the cutest thing ever. And she's really been into watercolors. I found these paint by number kits that I think are just so fun and a great activity to do when she's just at home. It shows you how to do it so it's not something you really need to figure out on your own. It's just a nice little way to unwind. Both my mom and my mother-in-law love puzzles. And I think peace work puzzles are the coolest. They have 500 or 1,000 piece ones and they're really easy to customize. A Skyla frame. If you have siblings and your siblings have kids or, you know, whatever, and there's a lot of like group chats going on, you can just give her a Skyla frame and surprise her with new photos of the kids or you or your spouse or whatever. Especially if you are long distance from them. Face moisturizer. Cannot stress this one enough. If you want to go a really bougie route, La Mer Rich Cream. More affordable option is the In Beauty Extreme Cream. This is one of my favorites. L'Occitane Almond Shower Oil. I don't know anyone who doesn't love this, but especially my mom and my mother-in-law. Bath tub tray. So she can put her little drink, her book, her iPad, or whatever on a tray while she's relaxing in the tub. There is this girl, I think she's in LA who does eternal notes and I've always wanted to get one of these for my mom. She writes little notes that she passed on this eternal note and it serves as a tray for like your jewelry or whatever. You could just have it by itself. I think it's so smart. I love this girl's business. Definitely like one of those tier-jerk gifts. Candles. I know it's obvious, but people love candles for a reason. You can never have too many. I'll link some of my favorites. Skims pajamas. Anthropology juice glass. Kérastase shampoo and conditioner. If you live close. A pedicure certificate or just like giving her a little, hey, next week, what do you do? Let's go get pedicures together. Great gift. I wish I could do that. That's all.
