Would you trust tiktok to decide where you eat lunch for the day? 👀 I decided to try the "Lunch in my city" challenge in Newmarket, which meant I had to go to the first restaurant that came up that I hadn't been to. And thanks to @Samuel's POV it brought me to CK’s Restaurant. CK’s serves Chinese and cantonese-style dishes, with everything from noodles, dim sum to seafood and congee. They have a large menu so choosing what to eat was hard 😅 I ended up trying one of their $16 lunch specials, which came with sweet and sour pork, a spring roll, soup of the day and noodles. But then I saw they also have congee so I tried the salmon one. The salmon congee was so comforting, and it would be perfect in the colder days coming up, plus the bowl was massive. Overall, I really enjoyed the meal. The sweet and sour pork was one of my favourites, and with the amount of food you get in the lunch special, I’d definitely go back and try more from them.
