6 things I think every musician needs! And I say that, because I have all of them 😂🙏 1) An Audio Technica AT2020. I paid £50 second hand for mine on eBay. If it’s good enough for Billie Eilish, it’s more than good enough for me. I’ve used this microphone for soooo much over the years. Get one!! 2) Cables that match your guitars. There is nothing more satisfying than playing a guitar with a colour matched cable hanging out of it. Aesthetics make your music better. Source: trust me bro. 3) A beautiful amp that you can only turn up to 1.5 because you live in a semi detached house with neighbours lol. Mine is a Fender 68 Custom Deluxe Reverb. It’s gorgeous. It sounds amazing. Probably sounds even better cranked 🥲 4) @DistroKid . Had it 13 years. It’s meant I’ve kept every penny of what I earn, when I upload my music to streaming platforms! Absolute game changer. When I got added to a big Spotify playlist, it meant I could keep all the money I earned and afford to build the studio you’re seeing in the photos! 5) A battered guitar that you stopped caring about so you can just pick it up at a moments notice, not very carefully, and play. It’s honestly a life changer! I grab this thing so often. 6) A pedal that smiles at you. This is the Boss RE-20. It sounds great and it’s genuinely my biggest fan.
