➡️ Click the link in my bio if you teach 6th, 7th, 8th or Algebra 1 and this is basically your daily juggling act…hi. You’re exactly who I built my scaffolded resource hub for. I swear half of teaching middle school math is looking at one lesson and thinking, okay…how am I supposed to make THIS work for everybody sitting in front of me? 😂 I taught classes where one student needed me to back up and repair a prerequisite skill, another needed the worked example to stay right in front of them, and somebody across the room was already finished and asking what they could do next. And somehow I was still supposed to keep everyone moving toward the same grade-level standard on the same pacing guide. That experience is a huge reason I create the way I do now. I don’t think differentiation should mean sitting down every night and making 5 different versions of tomorrow’s lesson. I think we need more ways into the same math—visuals, worked examples, leveled practice, prerequisite support, intervention when it’s needed + enough challenge for the kids who are ready for more. Because the class was never going to magically become one level just because the curriculum was written like it was. 😭
