How Much Money, I made as a Solo Virtual CPA Firm Owner For the month of

I don’t see other people in this industry so I wanted to put out there how much money you can make in this industry. The Big 4 Grind is not meant forever’ How much money I made in July as a solo Virtual CPA Firm owner 👀💰 July revenue: $18,409 And here’s the context behind that number… I’ve been a CPA for 20+ years, but I didn’t start out as a full-time entrepreneur. I started my business as a side hustle in 2016 while working my 9–5. For years, I built it little by little on the side. Then in 2023, I was laid off from my Tax Manager position. That was the push I needed to go ALL IN on building my virtual CPA firm. Fast-forward to today… I run my firm virtually, solo, and very intentionally. During the off-season, I typically work about 15–20 hours per week. During tax season, it’s closer to 25–30 hours per week. And July? July is traditionally one of my slowest months. Plus, with the World Cup happening here in Dallas, I intentionally worked even LESS than usual. ⚽️😂 The crazy part? I’m not operating at full capacity. I could take on more clients. I could work more hours. I could focus entirely on growing revenue. But right now, I’m choosing not to. Because after spending 20+ years in this industry, I don’t want to build another job for myself. I want to build a business. And now I’m ready for my next experiment. 👀 From September 1st until October 2027, when I turn 50, my goal is to grow this virtual CPA firm to: $600,000 in annual revenue. But there are rules: → I don’t want to double my working hours. → I don’t want to build a huge team. → I don’t want to sacrifice the freedom I built this business for. Instead, I’m going to see how far I can grow using: AI + automation + better workflows + social media + lead generation + smarter offers. And I’m documenting the whole thing. The revenue. The mistakes. The systems. The content. The AI tools. The wins. And probably a few WTF-am-I-doing moments along the way. 😂 Because I want other women to see that there are MANY ways to build a successful business.
