Details from my surprise engagement in Italy I was on a family vacation and my boyfriend (now fiancé) "couldn't come" because he "couldn't get off work" Our third day there my mom had planned a nice family dinner at a beautiful restaurant. My sister told me my original outfit was ugly and not fancy enough (normal coming from her) so she said I could wear this set she brought We got to the restaurant and the vibes were immediately shady. My mom was freaking out saying we were at the wrong table A worker from the connected hotel came up to me and asked me to come with her. I told her I didn't make the reservation and that she needed to speak to my mom. My mom then said that she made the reservation under my name and that I had to go sign something for dinner. I was SO confused She walked me inside and we went down a few floors on the elevator We then go outside and we entered this cave-like hallway. She told me to wait there At this point it was crossing my mind and I'm wondering to myself if he was out there... But even then I was like no chance he flew all the way to Italy She comes back around the corner and tells me to walk down the stairs I'm walking through this little cave and the second I come to the top of the stairs I see him on the platform From that point forward I basically blacked out and felt like I was dreaming. But I remember him asking me to marry him! He dipped me back for a photo and I was SOOOO hot and sweaty I told him I was going to pass out I convinced him to jump in the water but he made the photographer take my ring before jumping. The hotel worker came outside and yelled at us for jumping but we got some good pics! He brought me this dress to change into for pictures if I wanted to and it worked out perfectly to put on after jumping in the water He booked us the night at the hotel and we had an incredible stay and breakfast the next day. The best surprise of my life!
