We went to Boston for my husband's birthday last September. Here's everything we did. We got in late the first night because of a flight delay, so after checking into the Lenox, we headed straight to The Dubliner because I thought they'd have dinner, but they weren't serving food anymore, so Guinness it is! We got some room service at the hotel. The next day we actually went on a day trip to Salem, which I'll talk about in another video. The day after that was my husband's birthday. We headed out to Tatte Bakery and Cafe for breakfast because it was right outside the Lenox, before leaving town again for a little day trip in New Hampshire. We made it back in town just in time that night to get tiramisu at Caffe Vittoria, and this place became one of our favorite parts of the whole trip. The next morning we headed to the Druid to get an Irish breakfast. We set out to do the Freedom Trail, which I would highly recommend doing. We both really enjoyed it. There's tons of little side quests you can take along the trail as well, like the Beantown Pub, which is right across from Granary Burying Ground. They say you can drink a cold Sam Adams while looking at a cold Sam Adams right across the street. Speaking of Sam Adams, we stopped at the Tap Room and then made our way back to our favorite place, Caffe Vittoria. We ordered a cannoli and decided that we needed to try all the most popular cannolis in the North End before the trip ended. So Modern Pastry was next. We paused our quest to find the best cannoli in Boston to eat at Union Oyster House, which is America's oldest restaurant. The next day we walked over to Brattle Book Shop. I have wanted to come here since I saw The Holdovers. We got breakfast at The Thinking Cup before continuing our cannoli quest at Mike's Pastry. Honestly, I don't remember which place had our favorite, so you'll just have to try them all too. We hopped back on the Freedom Trail and did a self tour of Paul Reveres house, and I just couldn't get over how beautiful these old cemeteries were. Honestly, the whole city is so beautiful. We just fell in love with Boston this trip. The Freedom Trail will take you over to Charlestown. And after we completed it, we grabbed some chowder at Warren Tavern. This tavern was established in 1780 and was visited by George Washington, Paul Revere, Benjamin Franklin. Next stop was the Last Hurrah in the Omni Parker House, which is the birthplace of the Boston Cream Pie. JFK proposed to Jackie there and Malcolm X used to work there. We ended the night with dinner at Mamma Maria in the North End. I had to check every day to get reservations here and got somebody's cancelled one, but it was so worth it. I wish I could have this meal again. That wraps up our time in Boston. This was one of our favorite trips ever and we will definitely be back one day. Have fun! Bye!
