Why it worked

The video taps into a common desire for free high-value items and uses a relatable, slightly absurd premise. The creator's use of AI to automate the process adds a modern, tech-savvy angle, while the clear breakdown of results (emails sent, no responses, automated replies, rejections, acceptances) provides a satisfying narrative arc.

Summary

The creator emailed nearly 500 computer companies asking for a free gaming PC, with 319 receiving no response and 147 sending automated replies. Out of 27 actual replies, 19 rejected the request, but 8 agreed to send a free PC. The creator used a tool called Composio to connect ChatGPT to various apps to send these emails.

Structure

1Introduces the challenge: asking computer companies for a free PC.
