By popular demand.. here’s my macro friendly chili recipe!! So good! 490 calories 46g protein 12g fat 49g carbs 11g fiber Recipe:
Makes 4 large servings Ingredients • 4 slices center-cut bacon, cut into ½-inch strips • 1 lb 93/7 lean ground beef • 1½ tsp salt • 1 tsp black pepper • 1 tsp paprika • 2 tsp chili powder • 1 tsp dried oregano • ½ tsp cumin • ⅛ tsp cinnamon • 1 medium yellow onion, diced • 2 carrots, grated (about ½ cup) • 1 medium red bell pepper, finely diced • 2 Tbsp minced garlic • ¼ cup tomato paste • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce • 1 (28 oz) can tomatoes • 2 cups beef broth • 1 (15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, rinsed and drained • 1 (15 oz) can black beans, rinsed and drained • 75g 0% fat Greek yogurt per serving, for topping (included in macros) Instructions 1 Add the bacon strips to a cold Dutch oven or large pot. Place over medium heat and cook until the fat renders and the bacon is crisp. Remove the bacon and set aside, leaving the rendered fat in the pot. 2 Add the ground beef. Let it sear undisturbed for a minute or two, then break it up. Stir in the salt, pepper, paprika, chili powder, oregano, cumin, and cinnamon. Cook until the beef is browned. 3 Add the onion, grated carrot, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables soften. 4 Stir in the tomato paste and Worcestershire sauce. Cook 5 minutes, stirring often, until the paste darkens slightly. 5 Add the canned tomatoes and beef broth. Stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pot. 6 Stir in the rinsed kidney beans and black beans. Return the bacon to the pot if you want it mixed throughout (or reserve it for topping). 7 Reduce heat to low. Simmer at least 1 hour and up to 4 hours, stirring occasionally. Taste and add salt as needed. 8 Serve in big bowls and top each serving with 75g 0% fat Greek yogurt. #healthy #highprotein #macros #groundbeef #chili @Zebra Dolphin
