Flying with Olive was a lot easier than I thought it would be! I’ve received a lot of questions about how I flew with Olive. Hopefully this video helps answer some questions and gives you the confidence to try flying with your dog! The pet carrier I am using is from Away (linked in my shopmy). Comment below if there’s anything I missed or you have any other tips! ❤️ #miniatureschnauzer #flyingwithdogs #travelingwithdogs #flyingwithpets

How to fly with your non-service dog in the main cabin Step 1: Call the airline after you book your flights and ask them to add an "in cabin pet" to your reservation Step 2: At the airport, go to the help desk to pay your pet fees and get a pet tag for your carrier Step 2 cont'd: Make sure you pack appropriately or check a bag - your dog will count as one of your two carry on items! Step 3: At security, take your dog out of the carrier, put the carrier through the xray machine with your belongings and then you can carry your dog through the metal detector Step 4: Make sure your dog has visited the pet relief area before you board and get to the gate early Step 5: Once you board, they need to stay in their carrier the whole time, so make sure they have something to do or are comfortable enough to sleep Bonus tip: Book the extra legroom seats by a window! It has the most space and usually includes early boarding Enjoy the trip! It isn't as intimidating as it sounds ❤️
