GTA 4

Why it worked

The video leverages a popular game (GTA 4) and a trending technology (DLSS 5, often associated with AI upscaling) to create a visually striking comparison. The creator's strong, opinionated take and the dramatic visual shift likely generated engagement through controversy and discussion.

Summary

The video showcases Grand Theft Auto 4 running with various mods and DLSS 5, comparing its visual output to what is implied to be a more advanced or AI-generated aesthetic. The creator expresses strong negative opinions about the visual quality, calling it "AI slop" and a "terrible idea."

Structure

1Introduction of GTA 4 and DLSS 5
2Demonstration of GTA 4 with mods, no DLSS
3Enabling DLSS 5 and comparing visuals
4Expressing strong negative opinions on the visual quality

Product placement

GTA 4: A video game that is being modded and run with DLSS 5. It ACTS as the subject of the video, and removing it would fundamentally change the video's content. DLSS 5: A technology that is being applied to GTA 4 to improve its performance/visuals. It ACTS as a feature being demonstrated, and removing it would change the video's content. RTX 4090: A graphics card that is shown at the end of the video. It APPEARS as a piece of hardware, and removing it would not change the video's content.
