I never tell my kids to clean their rooms. It’s too overwhelming.  Think about when you go to clean a room that’s really messy. How often do you think, “where do I even start!?”  It’s even harder for a child. Instead of giving them a blanket order like, “clean your room”, I do something I call assisted cleaning. This is where I give them tasks like pick up the laundry, pick up the trash, put the toys in the bin, make your bed, etc. I don’t do it for them.  I just help create a game plan for them that they can follow.  I’m just helping with their executive functioning.  Is this something you’d try with your kids?  Do you do something similar?  Let me know! #kids #cleaning #Home #toys #mom
