I know some people say brushing locs from the roots will automatically cause snagging, but it really comes down to how you’re brushing. Once your locs are mature and established, you can gently brush them in a way that smooths and maintains the loc without aggressively pulling or catching at the roots. The key is light pressure, the right technique, and being mindful of how your locs respond. You don’t have to force the brush through your locs or yank through resistance.
