Why it worked
The video taps into a relatable and humorous aspect of pet ownership, specifically the idea of 'babying' pets by choosing entertainment for them. The use of a popular streaming service like Netflix and a widely loved breed like a golden retriever likely contributed to its shareability.
Summary
A person is shown selecting a show on Netflix for their golden retriever to watch before they leave for the night. The dog is shown looking at the TV, seemingly engaged with the content.
Structure
- 1Person selects show on TV
- 2Dog watches TV
- 3Person leaves
Product placement
Netflix: it ACTS as the streaming service from which the dog's shows are selected. Removing it would change what happens in the video.
