Why it worked

The video leverages the popularity of a well-known show and a recognizable personality to drive interest in the streaming platform, using a relatable 'testing out' hook to encourage viewers to watch the full content.

Summary

The creator shares a clip from The Grand Tour featuring Francis Bourgeois, tagging Prime Video to promote the show. The video uses a humorous edit to highlight the content available on the streaming platform.

Structure

1Creator introduces the clip with a humorous caption
2Clip shows Francis Bourgeois driving a car in a Grand Tour style
3Creator tags Prime Video to drive engagement to the show

Product placement

Prime Video (a) ACTS: the video is a clip from a show hosted on this platform, and the creator tags the official account to drive traffic to the service. Removing this would remove the source and the promotional intent of the video. Amazon (b) APPEARS: the parent company is tagged in the caption. Removing this would not change the video content.

Let’s see how this goes without the originals. 🚗🚘🚙🚖🏎️ @Prime Video @Prime Video UKIE @itsthegrandtour @Amazon @amazonprimevideo @Francis Bourgeois #grandtour #cartok #auto #viralvideos #fyp

Transcript

Testing out the new Grand Tour presenters so you don't have to. We're in a Grand Tour road trip right now. This is, how do I take the piece of horn? Reach your horn. This is, I must admit, this is extremely cool. It's the very rare occasion. I'm not going to lose something on this trip that's more powerful than the vehicle.
