Why it worked

The video taps into the popular trend of collecting and the excitement of finding a sought-after item, especially when it's the last one available. The relatable experience of a store being sold out and the subsequent 'win' of finding the item at checkout creates a satisfying narrative arc.

Summary

The creator shows Smushers toys at Kohl's, noting they were sold out when they returned the next day. They eventually found the last one at checkout.
